The tough, dependable Chevy Silverado 1500 is a force to be reckoned with on the road, thanks to its powerful styling and dominating capabilities. In 2026, this full-size truck is a mid-generation model that introduces a few updates for your benefit. These updates are found on the exterior.
In 2025, the Silverado 1500 was available with a hunting-inspired Realtree Special Edition trim level. This trim has transitioned to the optional Realtree Appearance Package in 2026. Several exterior paint colors have been eliminated this year, including Slate Gray Metallic and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat. New colors have been added to the 2026 Silverado 1500 palette: Polar White Tricoat and White Sands.
The overall style of the 2026 Silverado 1500 is unchanged from the 2025 version. The model’s strength and confidence are established by its tall front end and impressively sculpted door panels. At the front, the chrome-accented grille wraps across most of the length of the grille. It is capped on the sides by engaging, rectangular headlights supported by a C-shaped LED element. Some of the many exterior features available are a bed camera, skid plates, rocker panel protection, a multi-flex tailgate, a spray-in liner, and more.
The 2026 Silverado 1500 is offered with four powertrain options. The base engine is a 310-horsepower, turbo 2.7-liter, four-cylinder system. A turbo-diesel 3.0-liter, six-cylinder powertrain is available with select trim levels, producing 305 horsepower. The other powertrains available are a 5.3-liter V8, producing 355 horsepower, and a 6.2-liter V8, producing 420 horsepower. The base engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The other three engines come with a 10-speed auto transmission. Some trim levels also have an off-road suspension system, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and all-wheel drive.
Depending on which of the nine trim levels you choose, your Silverado 1500 may come with features like heated front and rear seats, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, a 13.4-inch infotainment system screen, a Google navigation system, wireless smartphone app connections, keyless entry, a keyless starter, a Bose sound system, a surround-view camera system, a wireless phone charger, and additional features.
